SPAN ALASKA Named 2016 Specialty LTL Carrier of the Year [ORLANDO, FL – Posted on 04.11.2017]

Shippers honor Alaska’s largest LTL transportation provider for excellence and service reliability

Span Alaska Transportation was named “Specialty LTL Carrier of the Year” at NASSTRAC’s annual conference today in Orlando, FL. The award recognizes excellence in LTL carriers that perform in markets whose scope and geography require specialized service and exceptional reliability.

"Being named the 2016 Specialty LTL Carrier of the Year is an honor — and especially rewarding — because it represents the voice of shippers," said Span Vice President of Sales Bill Meszaros. “We are pleased NASSTRAC is recognizing and honoring the entire Span team, whose daily dedication to safety, freight handling, and service creates opportunity and inspires confidence among clients throughout the great state of Alaska, Canada, and the Lower 48 states.

Our people have an earned reputation as conscientious, knowledgeable and innovative. Having their efforts recognized as exemplary is very gratifying and well deserved."

Through its annual Carrier of the Year Awards Program, NASSTRAC recognizes carriers that have demonstrated excellence in transportation. The program also helps shippers identify the “best of the best” in carrier performance and value.

The awards are determined by regular members of NASSTRAC who are qualified buyers of transportation services and rank carriers on customer service, operational excellence, pricing, business relationship, leadership, and technology.

The NASSTRAC Carrier of the Year program is co-sponsored by Logistics Management, a leading trade magazine for buyers of logistics services.
