Logistics That Keep Kodiak Connected

Doing business on Kodiak can present challenges, which is why having support on the island matters. Span Alaska is the only LTL carrier with Destination Direct™ service from Washington into a staffed Service Center in Kodiak, giving businesses access to people who understand the community and its shipping needs. This local presence strengthens communication, speeds response times, and provides a direct point of contact for nearby businesses.

Kodiak connects into Span Alaska’s broader network through Anchorage, Fairbanks, Wasilla, Kenai, and the rest of Southcentral Alaska, allowing shipments to move with fewer diversions and more control from origin to delivery.

Our Kodiak team combines on-island knowledge with statewide resources to keep products moving on schedule and in the condition customers expect.

As part of this support, Span Alaska offers intra-Alaska service from Anchorage to Kodiak, with Monday departures delivering Tuesday. Shipments must meet the Friday 3:00 p.m. cutoff to make the sailing.

For temperature-sensitive replenishment, our Fresh Express Chill, Freeze, and KFF partnership with Costco Business Center provides another reliable option. Orders placed online by Thursday at 3:00 p.m. depart Monday and deliver Tuesday, with competitive pallet pricing available for businesses that rely on consistent restocking.
