We are excited to inform you that Matson Logistics, Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire Span Alaska Transportation, LLC, the leading provider of LCL freight consolidation and forwarding services in the Alaska market.
After the transaction closes, Span Alaska will become a subsidiary of Matson Logistics and will continue to operate independently. There are no changes planned for the company’s brand, leadership, operations or personnel.
This transaction underscores Matson’s long term commitment to the Alaska market and will significantly enhance Matson Logistics’ asset light platform, expanding its service offerings to include value-added consolidation and freight forwarding to Alaska.
This acquisition provides strategic growth in an important new market for Matson and will join two companies that are a great fit culturally. Both companies have deep, successful histories, pride themselves on providing superior customer service and reliability and are fiercely loyal to their customers.
