February 13, 2020
Dear Span Alaska Customer,
Strong headwinds and severe weather will delay the scheduled southbound arrival of the Matson Anchorage into Tacoma until late Thursday, February 13. As a result the scheduled Wednesday voyage is expected to depart before noon on Friday, February 14, with an estimated arrival in Anchorage on Monday afternoon, February 17. This will impact normal Monday deliveries by at least 24 hours. Span Alaska will work diligently to deliver our customer’s freight as soon as possible.
The vessel will bypass Kodiak on this voyage and return directly to Tacoma to get back on schedule. Kodiak-bound freight will be loaded onto the Matson Tacoma MTC133N with a departure from Tacoma on Friday night, February 14. Cargo originating from Anchorage will be loaded to MTC133S departing Tuesday night, February 18.
