Severe Weather Delay – Matson Kodiak MKD160N [Anchorage - Posted on 09.28.2020]

September 28, 2020

Dear Span Alaska Customer,

Due to severe weather, Matson Kodiak, departed Tacoma Sept. 26, is delayed in transit to Anchorage. This will impact shipments normally delivered early in the week. Span Alaska will work diligently to deliver our customer’s freight as soon as possible.

We anticipate a late arrival Tuesday, September 29, with all deliveries from this voyage running 24 hours behind schedule.

On the southbound leg, MKD160S will arrive in Kodiak on Wednesday night, September 30. A Dutch Harbor bypass was already planned for this voyage so Matson Kodiak will return to Tacoma directly from Kodiak.

MKD161N will depart Tacoma on Wednesday, October 7, as scheduled.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this delay. If you have any questions, please contact your account executive or our Customer Service at our following locations:

     • Auburn, Southeast Alaska: 800-857-7726

     • Anchorage, Kenai, Wasilla: 907-349-3606

     • Fairbanks: 907-451-1184

     • Kodiak: 907-486-8501

Thank you for your understanding during this delay.
