Dear Span Alaska Customer,
Please be advised that the Matson Tacoma, which was originally scheduled to arrive at the port of Anchorage on Sunday, February 28, will be delayed arriving Anchorage due to gale-force winds and heavy seas.
Based on the current weather forecast, Matson is scheduled to start unloading the ship on Monday at 0700 hours. As a result, all deliveries in the southcentral markets will be running 24 to 48 hours behind schedule.
In order for Matson to get back on schedule, the return of this ship will bypass Kodiak and return directly to Tacoma form Anchorage. Cargo destined for Kodiak will be discharged and relayed to the MAC-170N arriving in Anchorage on Tuesday, March 2.
