Steamship Fuel Surcharge Change
Dear Span Alaska Customer,
Due to ongoing extraordinary market conditions, Matson Navigation has announced an increase to its previously published fuel surcharge. In alignment with this update, Span Alaska will adjust its fuel surcharge (FSC) accordingly.
Effective April 12, 2026, the fuel surcharge (FSC) for shipments to and from Central Alaska will change to 26.5%. This adjustment follows Matson Navigation’s announced FSC update, and Span Alaska will implement the same increase on that date.
Span Alaska will continue to monitor fuel cost changes and communicate any future FSC adjustments as they occur. The most current FSC information is always available at www.spanalaska.com.
