Customer Advisory: Delivery Delay Notice
Dear Span Alaska Customer,
Due to high wind conditions in the Mat-Su Valley, deliveries to Palmer and Wasilla will be delayed. The delay affects shipments that moved on the Wednesday, December 3, sailing, MTC318N.
Current Conditions:
- Wind Gusts: Up to 85 MPH, sustained winds of 55–65 MPH
- Local Impact: Power outages, school closures, and structural damage reported
- Safety Measures: For the safety of our drivers and community, we are temporarily holding deliveries
Our Wasilla Service Center team is working with a minimal crew to consolidate loads and prepare for dispatch as soon as conditions improve. We will resume delivery operations when it is safe to do so and provide updates if the outlook worsens. Currently, we anticipate deliveries will start this afternoon and expect up to a 24-hour delivery delay for Palmer and Wasilla customers.
