Span Alaska Locations

Service Centers across Alaska and the Lower 48

Our Service Center Network

Span Alaska locations connect the Lower 48 to Alaska through a network designed for consistency and control. Our primary hub in Auburn, Washington, consolidates shipments before moving them directly to Span Alaska Service Centers in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Wasilla, Kenai, Kodiak, and Juneau—putting 80% of Alaskans within 20 miles of one of our facilities. This approach reduces delays, supports on-time performance, and allows us to reliably serve communities of every size, from major metros to the most remote locations in the state. With company-owned facilities, equipment, and personnel, Span Alaska delivers the accountability customers expect.

Designed to Keep Essential Freight Flowing

Span Alaska operates modern, strategically placed facilities built to scale as Alaska’s needs grow. Auburn, near the Port of Tacoma, is the backbone of our system. Anchorage hosts the state’s largest Service Center. Coverage extends into Southeast Alaska and island communities through dependable schedules, including twice weekly ship service to Kodiak, once weekly Chill and Freeze service to Kodiak on Wednesday, and twice weekly barge service into most Southeast Alaska locations.

Because we maintain Service Centers in Wasilla and Kodiak—rare among providers—businesses have proximity to the operation servicing their shipments and the flexibility that comes with local support. Above all, we keep the goods Alaskans depend on in stock. From everyday essentials to specialized supplies, our network ensures they reach shelves, homes, and businesses—even in the most remote locations.
