Weather Delay – MKD319N [Posted – 09.26.2025]

The Wednesday, September 24, sailing MKD319N will be delayed arriving to Anchorage on Sunday, September 28, due to severe weather in the Gulf of Alaska. Port vessel operations are expected to start at 1300 on Sunday afternoon.

Beginning of Keep From Freezing “KFF” Service [Posted – 09.26.2025]

As a regular part of our Alaska service, Span provides specialized equipment (insulated containers) to protect your shipments from freezing. This year, the seasonal service will begin with the MKD321N sailing, departing Tacoma on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Vessel Delay – MLE204N [Posted – 09.16.2025]

The Friday September 12, sailing MLE204N was delayed and port vessel operations started at 1300 this afternoon in Anchorage.

Labor Day Holiday Notice [Posted – 07.31.2025]

Span Alaska will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, at all terminals to observe Labor Day. Matson will still maintain the normal two sailing schedule out of Tacoma, WA.
